EJM Development Wins Two TOBY Awards
September 28, 2007 (Las Vegas) - EJM Development today announced the leading real estate development firm was awarded two The Office Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards at the second annual BOMA Nevada TOBY Awards Ceremony, on Tuesday Sept. 26 at the Four Seasons. The Honorable Mayor of Henderson, James Gibson was the guest speaker, and presented the recipients with their TOBY Award.
EJM won TOBY Awards in the Industrial Office Park and Industrial Office Park – Grade Level categories. Laura Alegria, property manager for Century Park, and Billie Jean Sclafani, property manager for Craig & Lamb, accepted the awards on behalf of EJM Development.
The TOBY Award, created in 1985 to salute excellence in the office building industry, remains the most prestigious and comprehensive program of its kind in commercial real estate, recognizing quality in office buildings and awarding excellence in building management. All facets of a building's operation are thoroughly evaluated during this process, including tenant relations programs, community involvement, emergency preparedness, security standards, and continuing education for building personnel.
With EJM’s win at the local level, the company may compete in BOMA International's Regional Competition, to be held in Miami in January 2008. Buildings that win at the Regional Competition are then eligible to compete in the International level at BOMA's National Business Meeting to be held in Denver in June of 2008.
